1. Who We Are

InfiniteScan is developed and maintained by Infinite IT Company (infiniteitbd.com). We are committed to building privacy-respecting, high-performance mobile utilities.

2. No Account or Registration Required

InfiniteScan does not require user registration, sign-in credentials, or personal account creation. You can use all core QR and barcode scanning features without revealing your identity.

3. On-Device Processing & Local Storage

  • Camera Feed Processing: Camera video frames are analyzed entirely on-device using ML Kit. Live camera frames are never uploaded to any external server or saved as photos by default.
  • Local History: Decoded QR and barcode payloads are saved exclusively in your device's local database if you keep History enabled.
  • Preferences: Your app theme, Bangla interface options, and ad frequency settings are stored locally on your device.

4. Optional Network Interactions & Subscriptions

  • Product Lookup (Optional): Scanned GTIN/EAN barcodes may query the open Open Food Facts API over HTTPS to retrieve product names and ingredients.
  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): When ads are enabled and Remove Ads is not active, AdMob may display advertisements and process device identifiers under Google’s privacy terms. In EEA/UK regions, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent is collected prior to ad display.
  • Remove Ads (In-App Purchase): Optional Google Play subscriptions (infinitescan_remove_ads_quarterly, infinitescan_remove_ads_yearly) handle payment entirely via your Google Play account. No payment credentials or credit card numbers are stored by Infinite IT.
  • External Actions: Tapping links, opening maps, or triggering phone calls prompts system confirmation via standard Android Intents. Wi-Fi QR codes never auto-join networks without your explicit consent.

5. Device Permissions

  • android.permission.CAMERA — Required for real-time live code scanning.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / Media Picker — Used only when you manually select a saved image to scan.
  • INTERNET — Used for optional product lookup, AdMob ad delivery, and external URL navigation.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — Used by AdMob SDK for advertising delivery when ads are enabled.

6. Data Sharing & Data Deletion

We do not sell scan history, decoded payloads, or user data. To erase all local scan history and settings, clear data in App Settings → Clear History or uninstall the application from your device.
